Maxim Integrated: The Bright New Outlook For LEDs: New Drivers, New Possibilities

May 04, 2016 // By Alec M. Makdessian
LED drivers are low-voltage components that convert input-voltage power, such as 120V, 220V, or 277V, to the low voltage that LEDs need. These drivers can also interpret control signals to dim, brighten, and change the color of the emitted light. This white paper reviews various application environments, leveraging Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology to dynamically monitor and control each individual LED lamp and smart LED lighting/sensor hub in a building.
