Conductive elastomers or rubber is a type of elastic material manufactured to conduct electricity. These compliant characters of these materials under external pressure provide reliable contacts as interfaces to compensate the uneven surfaces of two components. It has been extensively applied in various industries, where, for example, conductive elastomer can be used to make pressure sensors due to its sensitivity of electric conductivity with pressure.
