10Gb+ harsh environment Ethernet connectors
Amphenol PCD MicroCom 10Gb+ (μCom-10Gb+) Ethernet Micro connectors are designed to meet the need for miniaturised connectors with very fast transmission speeds and high resistance to environmental extremes. Environmentally tested to MIL-DTL-38999 Series III military specifications, these miniature connectors with a 15 mm max. external diameter can exceed 10 Gb/sec as defined in IEEE 802.3an-2006 even in the harshest environments.
The IP68-sealed design is dust-tight and can be immersed in water. Features include four insulated twisted wire pairs inside the connector to minimise cross-talk, and special mating surfaces to prevent disconnection due to stress. A threaded coupling mechanism provides high vibration resistance. These ruggedised connectors from Amphenol PCD are suitable for use in defence, aerospace, and rail/traction applications.
