Antenova closes $10 million investment round
The last C round of financing raised $12 million in January 2005.
Greg McCray, CEO, Antenova (Cambridge, England) said the additional investment will be used to accelerate development of the company's Radionova range of RF antenna modules and establish additional design centres in target markets.
The company has just opened a design and support centre in the US near Chicago and launched at the 3GSM Congress in Barcelona last month an RF antenna module that integrates a GPS chip and software.
The single package combines a low power receiver IC with Antenova's single ended internally balanced antenna.
This will be followed by modules integrating GSM/CDMA, 3G, dual-mode GPS/GSM and dual-mode WiFi/GSM RF antennas.
McCray said the company plans to open design and support facilities in Shanghai, China next quarter, followed by centres in Korea and Japan by the end of the year.

This month Keithley Instruments is giving away two of its Model 2200 power supplies, worth 735 Euros each, for EETimes Europe's readers to win. Part of the Series 2200 family, the unit’s voltage output accuracy is specified at 0.03% and its current output accuracy is 0.05%. The supply’s high output (1mV) and measurement (0.1mA) resolution makes it well-suited for characterizing low power circuits and devices in applications such as measuring idle mode and sleep mode currents to confirm devices can meet today’s ever-more-challenging goals for energy efficiency.
