Comprehensive security for industrial PCs with front-side SD configuration memory

Innominate Security Technologies in Berlin has launched a new generation of its compact mGuard security appliances for driverless operation in PCI slots.

The mGuard pci² SD provides integrable firewall protection and secure VPN remote maintenance connections for all types of industrial, panel and embedded PCs, as used in robot controllers or HMI applications for operation and monitoring. This allows business-critical computers, machines or even entire system networks to be securely and reliably protected from attacks.
In addition to the PCI card, an mGuard pcie² SD version is now also available for slots of the newer PCI Express standard, allowing universal use of the cards in any device with a PCI or PCI Express slot.
The new mGuard cards have front-side configuration memory in the form of an exchangeable SD card, as is already implemented in current mGuard DIN rail devices. This enables the mGuard pci[e]² SD cards to be quickly and easily put into operation, updated or replaced.

The platform helps evaluate the rich set of peripherals and includes a 10/100/Gb Ethernet port, SATA-II, HDMI v1.4, LVDS, parallel RGB interface, touch screen interface, analog headphone/microphone, micro TF and SD card interface, USB, serial port, JTAG, camera interface, and input keys for Android.

And the winners are...

In our previous reader offer, Pico Technology was giving away one of its recently launched PicoScope 3207B, a 2-channel USB 3.0 oscilloscope worth 1451 Euros. Lucky winner Mr L. Sanchez-Gonzalez from Spain should be receiving his PicoScope 3207B soon. Let's wish them some interesting findings with his projects.
