Dolphin Integration selects LFoundry for defense and industrial markets
June 11, 2012 // Julien Happich
Dolphin Integration has just established a partnership with LFoundry for the integration of its SoCs, ASICs and FPGA to ASIC migration on LFoundry's LF150 technology.
Dolphin’s mixed signal circuits are dedicated to the European Defense industries as well as high-reliability markets, and are supported by Dolphin’s experience of more than 25 years in analog, logic and mixed-signal microelectronic design. LFoundry brings to this partnership its LF150 technology, based on the 150nm geometry. At LFoundry, Dolphin Integration will benefit from the company’s customer support ensuring reliable and perennial deliveries for small to large volumes.
“We are very happy to partner with LFoundry for our mixed-signal products targeting the defense and industrial markets”, said Louis Zangara, Vice-President of Dolphin Integration. “We have selected LFoundry to benefit from their experience and proximity, both factors being key for the European Defense equipment makers”.
“Our partnership with Dolphin Integration is a recognition of the quality of our services, both in terms of manufacturing and in terms of customer service. Our long-term commitment to support Dolphin’s needs has played a central role in setting up our partnership”, said Jean-Pierre Delesse, President Lfoundry Rousset.

The development platform for i.MX 6Quad from element14 (built to the Freescale SABRE Lite design) is an evaluation platform featuring the powerful i.MX 6Q, a multimedia application processor with Quad ARM Cortex-A9 cores at 1.2 GHz from Freescale Semiconductor.
This month, Freescale and element14 are giving away five such platforms, worth £128.06 each, for EETimes Europe's readers to win. The platform helps evaluate the rich set of peripherals and includes a 10/100/Gb Ethernet port, SATA-II, HDMI v1.4, LVDS, parallel RGB interface, touch screen interface, analog headphone/microphone, micro TF and SD card interface, USB, serial port, JTAG, camera interface, and input keys for Android.
And the winners are...
In our previous reader offer, Pico Technology was giving away one of its recently launched PicoScope 3207B, a 2-channel USB 3.0 oscilloscope worth 1451 Euros. Lucky winner Mr L. Sanchez-Gonzalez from Spain should be receiving his PicoScope 3207B soon. Let's wish them some interesting findings with his projects.
