The most striking feature of the new version is that CGI Studio now supports OpenGL ES 3.0, the de facto standard for the development of sophisticated embedded HMI applications. Leveraging the computing power of embedded chipsets from both today and tomorrow, CGI Studio enables high-performance 2D/3D applications such as navigation, vehicle status visualisation or task menu structuring, while focusing on essential automotive application features such as boot-up time and a small footprint. Also important for users in the automotive value chain: CGI Studio complies with standards and regulations in effect for this industry.

New graphical features such as KTX image formats, ETC2 and EAC texture compression, seamless cube maps and many others enhance CGI Studio’s already impressive list of features, allowing customers to maximise their creativity with even fewer resources. Additional convenience features such as a shareable component library (SCL), EGL context sharing and improved scene templates round up the package for the end user, making CGI Studio 3.0 one of the most extensive and user-friendly authoring suites on the automotive market.
