Maxim to spend USD 200 million in expansion and manufacturing equipment upgrades

Maxim Integrated Products announced a USD 200 million multiyear investment to upgrade its U.S. wafer fabrication facilities (fabs) in Beaverton, Oregon; Dallas and San Antonio, Texas; and San Jose, California.
The company will use the multiyear investment to upgrade manufacturing equipment, improve process technologies, convert to newer technology nodes, and assimilate production from recently acquired companies. Maxim employs 9,300 employees worldwide, including approximately 1,000 manufacturing cleanroom workers in its four U.S. fabs. It makes about 50 percent of its products in its U.S. wafer fabs.

The SoCKIT evaluation kit is Arrow's latest development tool, featuring an Altera Cyclone V SoC with a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor integrated within its 28nm FPGA fabric.
