30kV TVS diode arrays prevent ESD damage

Littelfuse's SP1026 Series 15pF 30kV bidirectional discrete TVS diode array was designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from damage due to electrostatic discharges (ESD).

Zener diodes fabricated using a proprietary silicon avalanche technology protect each I/O pin to provide a high level of protection against ESD. These robust general-purpose diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation. Additionally, each diode can safely dissipate 5A of 8/20μs surge current (IEC61000-4-5) with very low clamping voltages. Applications for the SP1026 Series include protection of mobile phones, smart phones, smart watches, tablets, portable navigation devices, and portable medical devices. Delivered in a μDFN-2 (0201) package, the ESD protection solution has a 0.60x0.30mm footprint to save PCB space and reduce costs. Low dynamic resistance (1.4Ω) supports the low clamping voltages needed for protecting modern electronics filled with small-geometry ICs.
