Funkwerk Dabendorf selects COQOS operating system
services and vehicle electronics. As such, they typically are deeply integrated into the vehicle’s various electronic systems. In order to enable this type of communications, Funkwerk Dabendorf has implemented an Automotive Software Framework. Linux-based COQOS will turn the framework into a flexible platform that meets a broad range of OEM requirements with regard to the interconnection between the platform and the vehicle. At the same time, the company achieves a higher degree of software reusability.
This software solution does not only enable developers to reduce time-to-market and cost for product-specific designs, FWD said. At the same time, the reuse of the software tends to improve system robustness. In addition, the platform will help designers to reduce the number of hardware components since all software function can run on one system-on-chip.
