GE Lighting rolls Zhaga-compatible LED modules

April 30, 2012 // By Christoph Hammerschmidt
On the way towards the standardization of LED Light engines, GE has achieved a major goal. The company has introduced a range of products that comply with the Zhaga standard.

The company has introduced four models of its Infusion product family. The range of the new models comprise a device for download applications, a model for very focused luminaires, a spotlight module for fixed installations (described in Zhaga Book 3) and an device designed for particularly high luminous flux. All new models meet the recently finished Zhaga specifications for interchangeable light engines.

Besides the enhanced Infusion LED module family, the vendor also showed its Lumination family of LED Downlights at the recent Light + Building. They also meet the Zhaga standard described in Book 5 which specifies modules that can be exchanged without requiring any tools.
