Medical plug-top power supplies added to plug and go line-up

Stadium Stontronics has added a new range of medical and ITE plug-top power supplies to its “plug & go” range with standby power under 75mW.

The new supplies meet the latest no-load power and average efficiency requirements for both Level VI and CoC Ver 5 tier 2 as the No Load Standby Power is under 0.075W.

The range consists of 6W, 18W and 24W with 5VDC, 9VDC and 12VDC output models available as standard with other custom voltages between 4.2 - 52VDC available on request. The units are “plug & go” which means that each power supply is supplied with interchangeable AC heads making it suitable for major global medical markets in the USA, UK, EU, Australia and Asia.  This saves the equipment manufacturer from needing multiple power supplies when shipping to global markets. A fixed AC head product is available for OEM customers looking to target specific international markets.

The standard product has a 2.1mm DC output connector with customer specified connectors supplied from Stadium Stontronics’ UK-based Regional Fulfilment Centre (RFC) near Heathrow, London.  Designed for use in medical equipment, the product has low leakage current =< 100uA, 2 x MOPP input to output isolation and is suitable for BF applications.

The product has ITE (EN/UL60950) and medical (EN/UL60601) approval. Typical applications are home-health care, dental systems and other portable medical devices.
