Protective diodes meet automotive requirements

The PPSMF4L series of Transient Voltage Suppression (TSV) diodes from Littlefuse protect automotive electronics from voltage transients triggered by load dump and similar events. The AEC-Q101 qualified diodes offer 400 watts of peak pulse power dissipation and come on a compact, flat-lead SOD-123FL package.

TPSMF4L Series TVS Diodes are best-suited for DC power protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics like electronic control units, sensors, infotainment systems, and body control modules (BCMs). Likewise they can be designed into portable devices that require high reliability such as hard drives, notebooks, VCC busses, POS terminals, SSDs, power supplies, monitors and other consumer applications.

 

In addition to its AED-Q101 qualification, the TPSMF4L series offers circuit designers a very small footprint, a low height profile, and high power rating of 400W. The small and flat-lead plastic package is just 0.98mm (max.), so it’s well-suited for use in compact designs in automotive electronics and portable devices. Standard voltage ranges from 5V to 85V are available, so designers can choose the most suitable part for their design and applications.

The TPSMF4L Series comply with 61000-4-2 and IEC 61000-4-4 standards to help circuit designers meet global regulatory standards.

The product is sold in quantities of 3,000 in tape and reel (8mm tape/7” reel) packaging.
