Smart LED controller detects presence, lighting conditions

May 03, 2016 // By Julien Happich
Futuro Lighting introduced the smart LED controller, Catherina CTRL, featuring movement detection, ambient sensors as well as dimming, fading, day/night detection, corridor delay and intensity adjustments.

The unit fits in a 55x55x14mm enclosure and can easily fit into new or existing kitchen cabinets or rooms to implement automatic light switching upon a person's presence.

The integrated PIR (passive infrared) sensor has a range of 5 to 7 meters, with an 88° horizontal field of view, and an 85º vertical detection field. The controller supports constant voltage LED modules and LED strips with supply voltages from 12 to 24 VDC.
